Egypt: Supreme Court Postpones Decision
Egypt's Supreme Administrative Court held its session today in Cairo to decide on the Ministry of Interior's appeal of the lower court's ruling that granted the Egyptian Baha'is their rights. The judges were in full control of today's session--preventing any interruptions or chaos--and after receiving a Memorandum prepared by Mr. Labib Moawad, the lead attorney representing the Baha'is, the court decided to postpone its decision until 16 December 2006.
The panel of judges declined the government's lawyers request and urging to receive a final decision on their appeal today.
Some of the Baha'is present were interviewed by television stations covering the court's session.

The panel of judges wanted to study the memorandum presented by the attorneys for the Baha'is before ruling on the case. I should know more in a couple of days.
